    Probably the closest truly distinctive option. Beautiful apartment-style lofts with kitchens in a historic Broadway building. Excellent for couples, friends sharing, or anyone staying several days.

    One of the best combinations of charm and convenience. Only 14 luxury suites in a restored 1907 building; suites have kitchens, living rooms and washer/dryers.

    Gorgeous restored 1920s landmark with Appalachian Art Deco interiors, restaurant, rooftop and speakeasy. A particularly fun Asheville experience.

    One of my favorites. Twenty rooms spread among three restored Victorian homes, with gardens and beautiful interiors inspired by Zelda Fitzgerald.

  • The Radical Asheville, Tapestry Collection by Hilton — 95 Roberts St | ~1.5 miles / 5-minute drive | $$$ | 4.5★
    Another personal favorite. An old factory turned into a wildly creative, art-filled hotel in the River Arts District. Technically affiliated with Hilton, but it feels nothing like a conventional chain hotel.

Boutique-feeling hotels affiliated with larger brands

These retain quite a bit of Asheville character while providing the amenities and predictability of a larger hotel group.
