Terms of Service & Participation Agreement

These Terms of Service apply to all in-person retreats, workshops, facilitator trainings, classes, and related experiences (collectively, “Events”) offered by Life is an Art, Intuition Painting®, and Geneva Montine Blank (also known as Montine Blank).

By registering for or participating in any Event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1.      Nature of Our Work
Life is an Art and Intuition Painting® offer creative, educational, and personal growth experiences designed to support self-inquiry, embodiment, and intuitive development.

These Events are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment. They do not replace licensed health care, mental health services, or medical advice. If you have or suspect you may have a medical or psychological condition, you are encouraged to seek care from a qualified, licensed professional.

Testimonials and stories shared through our website or materials reflect individual experiences and are not guarantees of specific outcomes. Each participant’s experience is unique.

2.      Personal Responsibility and Assumption of Risk
Events may include creative exploration, movement practices, group processes, travel, outdoor environments, and emotional reflection. Participation may involve inherent risks, including physical exertion, emotional activation, travel-related challenges, or environmental conditions.

By choosing to participate, you do so voluntarily and accept responsibility for your own well-being, decisions, and actions before, during, and after the Event.

You agree to listen to your body, honor your limits, and communicate openly if support is needed.

3.      Health and Participation
By registering, you affirm that you are physically and emotionally able to participate in the Event. You understand that creative and embodied practices can be powerful and sometimes activating.

If you have health concerns, injuries, or medical conditions, you agree to consult with an appropriate licensed provider prior to participation and to inform Life is an Art of any relevant limitations.

You remain responsible for your personal health care decisions at all times.

4.      Release and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release Life is an Art, Intuition Painting®, Geneva Montine Blank, and any employees, assistants, contractors, facilitators, venue partners, or affiliates from claims or liability arising from participation in an Event.

This includes, but is not limited to:

·       Personal injury or illness

·       Emotional distress

·       Property loss or damage

·       Travel delays or expenses

·       Weather events, wildlife, political situations, or other circumstances beyond our control

Life is an Art’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific Event.

5.      Force Majeure (Unforeseen Circumstances)
While Events are carefully planned, circumstances beyond our control may arise, including natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, public health emergencies, venue closures, travel disruptions, or other unforeseen events.

In such cases, Life is an Art reserves the right to reschedule the Event or issue credit toward a future offering. Life is an Art is not responsible for airfare, lodging, or other travel expenses incurred by participants.

Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance for destination retreats.

6.      Travel and Destination Events
Participants are responsible for their own transportation, passports, visas, insurance, and compliance with travel requirements.
Life is an Art is not responsible for missed connections, delays, or travel disruptions outside of its control.

7.      Group Harmony and Participation
Events are intentionally intimate and community-centered. To protect the integrity and safety of the group experience, Life is an Art reserves the right to decline participation or remove a participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or harmful to others.

If a participant chooses to leave an Event early or engages in activities outside the official itinerary, Life is an Art assumes no responsibility for those activities.

8.      Media and Photography
Life is an Art may photograph or document portions of Events for educational or promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, you must notify Life is an Art in writing prior to the Event.

9.      Cancellation Policy
All cancellations are subject to the Cancellation Policy in effect at the time of registration. See current policy.

10.   Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina and, where applicable, the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.   Testimonials
Testimonials are posted for informational purposes only. Any testimonial on the site does not constitute a guarantee regarding the outcome of any future consultation. Everyone will have a different personal experience than those posted on this site. Each person’s appointment and outcome will be unique to what they want to understand, change or solve.

12.   Acknowledgment
By registering for or participating in an Event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to these Terms of Service.
