Our Tuscan Medieval Borgo

Our Agriturismo is a renovated 17th-century family-held medieval property that overlooks rolling hills of Tuscany, just outside of Florence. Set high above the city of Chianti in Greve, the meandering stone compound is predominantly forested with chestnut, cherry and oak trees, and home to a producing olive grove with more than 1600 trees. On eight of the thirty hectares are three olive tree varieties, including frantoiano, leccino, and coreggiolo, the oldest of which were planted about 100 years ago, and the youngest planted in 2001.

Within the simplicity and charm of a historic medieval village, the owners have created a warm and welcoming environment. Each spacious suite and all living spaces are uniquely furnished with family antiques passed from one generation to the next. Each private apartment has its own entrance and outdoor sitting area.

The property boasts a large swimming pool and spacious wine cantina built in 1624, which is a beautiful private space where we will be painting. The barbecue and wood-burning oven, as well as the laundry room, are available for to all users. Seasonally the owners produce amazing jams with local fruits (blackberries, figs or cherries) and with a little luck, find good mushrooms and truffles, used prepare delicious sauces. The owners have lovingly cared for this house and continue to make olive oil from its bountiful grove.
